[Typo3] sr_feuser_register: without username

Hi,

I'm having trouble creating fe_users without username with 
sr_feuser_register-ext.

I used the option 'useEmailAsUsername' in sr_feuser_register's 
constants. A user can then register without assigning a username. The 
confirmation mail is sent and leads to good creation of the account with 
correct group-settings. But instead of copying the email to username the 
username-field stays blank, so a login fails.

Can anyone help me out?
