[Typo3] What is the correct step to update the locallang.xml?

Hi,

What should I do if I update locallang ??

   1. I got some extension, they do not provide by language.
   2. I need unicode, and I used extdeveval convert locallang.php to
   locallang.xml
   3. Rename locallang.php.
    4. I download the xml from server, and add my translation into
   T3locallang/data/languageKey/label in xml
    5. ??? ( I think something is missing here, do I have to worry about
   orig_hash and orig_text?? I think they may related to preformance and
   cacheing)
   6. Overwrite the locallang.xml in server.
   7. Clear all the cache manually (Do I have to?)

It works, but am I correct?
