This is probably unrelated to your original problem. Reinstalling on top 
of half completed installs will sometimes lock you out. Try deleting 
your typo3conf/temp_CACHED_.* files, and perhaps editing your 
typo3conf/localconf.php; bring it all to virgin state. I think that it 
should fly ok after that,
