[Typo3] Re: pictures gone in 3.8 install

I must have been unclear in stating the facts:
I have a 3.8.0 quickstart install (on a server with imagemagick working - 
used it with 3.7.0 without problems)

Into the quickstart I imported an existing site (L999) that worked 
(including the images) on the previous 3.7.0 install. Now when I imported 
this site the resulting overview showed that the images was included, but 
when I look at the content they are gone, simply doesn't show in the 
imagecontent. The content records are there, just empty.

I have no clue as to the cause of this, but it's frustrating...

I have not included the uploads directory, since there is nothing in it on 
the "old" server related to that site
