[Typo3] pictures gone in 3.8 install

I have a site that used to be in a 3.7.0 install I have imported this to a 
3.8.0 on a new server and something must have happend on the server because 
at first my pictures showed fine, but now they are gone...

They show in the result overview of importing, but every image is gone when 
I look for them in the content... Where can I search for answers for this 
really big problem?
