[Typo3] RTE caches external css file - how?

Hello,

Just came across some strange behavior of the htmlArea RTE (or at least it 
seems strange to me, perhaps I'm missing something). I have an external css 
file for the available styles, called 'rte.css' and located in 
fileadmin/templates/ It needed some aditional styles, so I added them and 
cleared the cache. However, the new styles didn't show up. After renaming 
the file (and changing the typoscript reference of course) they showed up. 
Renaming the file back to 'rte.css' showed the old styles again (while the 
contents where changed!). So I guess the RTE caches the external css file 
and this cache is not cleared when use the 'clear cache' options in the 
backend?
