afaik this is a bug that has been noted some time ago already.

the (BE-)cookie with the authentication-info is set only for the domain
you login to(D1)

I guess it works the other way around if you login to D2/typo3

P.S.: maybe raise this issue again on -dev list so chances for a bugfix
in the core will raise.
