[Typo3] Blog and Send-a-card extensions don't work with MySQL 4.1.x

I recently had to migrate my typo3 3.7.0 database to a new server with
MySQL 4.1.8.
I'm in the process of tying up various loose ends, I've fixed the
"Default '0'" issue manually, I'm using the cvs
class.t3lib_install.php - but some things are still not working.

For both
	ee_blog   
	sr_sendcard
the records do not show up in the backup and consequently not in the
frontend. Doing a raw search in the database fields via backend
doesn't turn up any records either, but shows the error:

It would be nice if the extension owners could release updated
versions of their extensions or give a hint for a hotfix.
