[Typo3] special browse not showing

Hi list

My code looks like this:
....
temp.secondLevelMenu = HMENU
temp.secondLevelMenu.special = browse
temp.secondLevelMenu.special {
  items = prev|next
  next.fields.title = Next Page &#62;
  prev.fields.title = &#60; Prev Page
  1 = TMENU
  1.NO.linkWrap =  | &nbsp
}
 ...
workOnSubpart = DOCUMENT_BODY 
 subparts.DOCUMENT_SLMENU < temp.secondLevelMenu
...

But it doesn't show anything ... does anyone know where the problem is?
