[Typo3] References database Ext. needs some polish

Yep, the t3references extension hasn't been touched since 2002!  I know 
that this extension is stable but I just think that this extension is 
not very userfriendly when browsing at typo3.org.

For example, I would like to see an option categorizing the references 
by date or by edited last.
It is also very annoying that you can only click "next" at the top of 
the page. Wouldn't it make sense to add those buttons at the bottom, 
too?  Another hassle is, that when you click on a page above 5, you will 
not see the number of the current page you are browsing, which can get 
you lost.

These are a view points which i have noticed when i was checking out 
some typo3 sites and it really is not very friendly in terms of browsing 
through the references!
