[Typo3] width of rtehtmlarea textarea in Firefox

Hi list,

I'm having a display problem with rtehtmlarea 0.4.50 and Firefox. Whereas in IE 6 and Moz 1.7 everything works just fine, in Firefox 1.1 the textarea gets loaded but its <body> seems to have an "internal" width of 0px, which results in each word breaking into a new line. 

When I hover over the <body> tag in the StatusBar in IE/Moz, it correctly states: border-width: 0px; width: 460px; In Firefox it states: border-width: 0px; width: 0px;

I've been looking around everywhere since yesterday but wasn't able to find any hint on the problem. Thanks a lot in advance for your tipps, greets
