[Typo3] TV problem - Plain input field

Hallo List,

I was just starting my first real "non-test" TemplaVoila page and run into a small
problem:

I created all fields necessary which I wanted to map and created one field "field_header"
This gets mapped to a <td> and shall get filled with a simple string which the Editor can
input when he edits the page-header of a page.

So I set the "Mapping Type" to "Element" and the "Editing Type" to "Plain input field".

In the BE the field works fine. I have just a new field in the Page-Header named "Header"
and in which I can input a string.

But in the FE just nothing gets displayed in the place where the string should be. I also
checked the "preview" function of the mapping module. It replaces the text properly. So it
must be something in the FE rendering ...

Any help is welcome ...
