[Typo3] MTB or TemplateViola?

I read MTB tutorial and got a pretty good feel about doing things that 
way. Now I noticed that this TemplateViola extension is getting a pretty 
hot topic so I decided to give it a try but, I can't find any tutorials 
on how to use it. The documentation that is on the site seems to me 
pretty programmer oriented. Anyway, I would like to get some suggestions 
on how to proceede on these matters.
