Another option is to use the new MD5 password you just created a replace the 
install tool password in your localconf.php file by ftp.

You can login to the install tool and add a new administrator account through 
the Install Tool GUI and once logged into the BE delete or change the old 
administrator / password.

You can generate an MD5 password without the command line by trying to login 
to the install tool, an incorrect MD5 sum will be shown to you, use that to 
replace via ftp.

/typo3/install/index.php

eg 'letmein' produces 0d107d09f5bbe40cade3de5c71e9e9b7
