[Typo3] Plugin problem

Hi list,

  Since upgrading to v3.8, I am having problem getting any of the 
Plugins working such as dropdown sitemap, guestbook, forum and message 
board.
  I am able to insert plugin successfully via BE, but is not coming up
  on FE page. The Form elements are working fine, ie. indexed search 
engine is working, contact mail form also working,
  but no luck on plugins.

  I can add entries in BE to the guestbook I have instaleld, but neither 
the entries created in BE nor the FE form to add entries is visible as 
in FC Bigfeet sites on videos.
