[Typo3] permissions problem

Hi board, 
I'm trying to set up an owner for all the sites on my site tree (over 1000
pages altogether) but I keep getting an error message: 
 
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in
D:\ShowProd\TYPO3\mcncontentmanagement\typo3\t3lib\class.t3lib_db.php on
line 217

Originally I had an owner for all the sites but I was messing around with
something and changed it.

Is the site just to big to set the owner recursively? And if so, how can I
do it?
