[Typo3] Photobook extension not displaying anything

I have installed the Photobook extension and am trying to configure it
for a simple thumbnail gallery for one set of images.

At present the plugin finds the image directory but won't display any
thumbnails all I get for each image is:
<img src="" width="" height=""  border="0" alt="" title="" />

Any ideas where I am going wrong?
