[Typo3] Task center error after update to 3.8.0

Since I've upgraded to 3.8.0 the first frame of the taskcenter spits out 
"Fatal error: Call to undefined function: mkmenuconfig() in 
/home/edma-ivd.be/public_html/typo3/ext/sys_notepad/class.tx_sysnotepad.php 
on line 40"

I emptied the cache, then I had a quick look at 
class.tx_sysnotepad.php,however not really knowing about the various 
dependencies I daren't mod the  php files. So I'm wondering what I can 
do to fix it, and yes, I'm pretty new to the typo scene so please be 
indulgent.
