[Typo3] How to use the navigation title if available, with mf_pagetitle ?

It wont work. I looked in source code of the extension. The string {page:title} is litterally searched and replaced by the page tile field. 

I guess a solution would be  to process the plugin.mf_pagetitle.title value the same way as the dataWrap of a stdWrap.

However I don't have the time right now to experiment with that.
