[Typo3] TYPO3 only for websites?

TYPO3 is a CMS.
The main purpose as far as I saw was to make and manage websites.
But content management systems claim to have a wider scope.

Is there someone who uses TYPO3 for other presentations, pe printed work?

Where can I find more information?
