[Typo3] How to link front end users with backend users in 3.8?

This is neither default behaviour of 3.7 nor of 3.8 its an extension that
might not be available and/or installed on your 3.8 system.
It can be done with this extension:
http://typo3.org/extensions/repository/search/simulatebe/

Did not test it with 3.8 though.
