[Typo3] Text w/image: cannot add image if name has comma

This is Typo3 ver. 3.8.0.

If I click the 'Browse for files' button next to the Images box and 
select an image file that has file name like smith,john.jpg, then the 
following error pops up.

JavaScript Application

ERROR: Invalid character found in file path (,|).  Cannot add the file!

Anybody have ever seen this and even know how to fix it?  I guess ',' is 
the culprit.  We have hundreds of image files named like this.
