Certainly not. You risk that your modifications get overwritten next
time you install Typo3.
I would say the right way to do it is to put something like:
lib.stdheader.stdWrap.space >
or
lib.stdheader.stdWrap.space =
in your TS Setup. I'm not sure about the syntax, some finesse of
TypoScript that I can't fathom yet. I have used both in different
circumstances, but it has been an entirely empirical approach :-)
