[Typo3] Streaming video files

Hi Schick,

Apple's QuickTime format (mov) is great for streaming video. You would need
QuickTime Pro - which is not expensive
(http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/).

The downside is your site visitors would need QuickTime installed on their
computers - the free version would be fine for them but this might not be
what you want.

cheers,
Chris

Subject: [Typo3] Streaming video files

Not really typo3 related.

Is it possible to stream a WindowsMediaPlayer compatible video file using
a standard webserver?

Well, i can easily be done for audio files or using flash, but which
video formats
support streaming and which of them are directly supported by
WindowsMediaPlayer.

PS: Any solutions for streaming a video file, which can be decoded on a
standard
WindowXP installation are welcome.

Best regards,

Schick
