[Typo3] automatic login in linked site

Hi list,

Is it possible, and if so how, to log automaticaly in on a remote site?
In other words, can typo3 fill the fields for name and password 
automaticaly?

The situation: A technician logs in on an intranet and from there he has 
(sometimes) to link to a username/password protected suppliers site.
Is it possible to automate the last step?

I wonder.
