[Typo3] Indexed search problems !

Hi list

Im developing a new typo3 site on a brand new server, all is going well.... however, when i install the indexed search engine, i get this strange php warning... the indexed search doesnt appear to be working at all, and if i refresh the page, the warning goes away and doesnt come back until I empty the cache in typo3... Anyone ever seen this ??? Or know what its about ?????
