[Typo3] Why "Header field, Graphical" cannot work?

Hi all,

I am reading the tutorial <<Futuristic Template Building>> and facing a
problem.

Following the instruction of page 59, I tried to create Content Element with
repetitive data objects. As illustrated at page 61, I set the "Editing Type"
of "field_header" to "Header field, Graphical", and complete the remained
setting works. Then I create a page content based on the new created TO and
DS, add the created page content to a page and show the page, but an error
occurred:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: imagettfbbox() in
D:\Work\Typo\dummy\t3lib\class.t3lib_stdgraphic.php on line 922

The above message is given by IE. If I set the "Editing Type" of
"field_header" to "Header field ", then no such error occurred. Could anyone
please give me some hints?

My environment: WinXP Professional (sp2), PHP4.4.0, Typo3 dummy-3.8.0,
mysql-4.1.10a-win32.
