[Typo3] Converting static site into Typo 3

Thank you for your help, the HTMLArea editor is working pretty well for me.
I got pointed to KB-Content-Slide for the static content that's at the root
of the page and gets propagated to all sub-pages. You also mentioned
creating a repository for the content, then 'Hard coding' it, how would one
go about doing this?
Second, you mentioned a 'shortcut' can you explain what this does and how I
would implement it?
