[Typo3] Fatal error: Call to undefined function mysql_pconnect()class.t3lib_

Peter, I tried that as well. Reading more about this and looking at the 
install tool I notice that it states that:
"MySQL is not available:
PHP does not feature MySQL support (which is pretty unusual)".

I have no idea why that is, but what i tried to enable mysql (without 
success) is using this in my php.ini file

;extension=php_mssql.dll
extension=php_mysql.dll
;extension=php_mysqli.dll

So any other suggestions on how to enable mysql for php?
