Hi all,

recently I updated my MySQL-Server to 4.1.10a cause I needed utf-8 and
wanted to gather some experience with the typo3.8beta. Till now
everything worked smoothly, no probs with the running typo3-installations.

But now every time I add a new MySQL user I can't connect with
typo3/install-tool to the MySQL-Server. There's some debug info in the
install tool:

Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Client does not support authentication
protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client in
/srv/www/t3_shared/apps/typo3_src-3.8.0beta2.1/t3lib/class.t3lib_db.php
on line 830

The funny thing is that I can connect to any new or old database on the
server with any user that existed since before the upgrade. It's only
the new ones causing trouble.

Here's some of my system debug information:
### DEBUG SYSTEM INFORMATION - START ###
