[Typo3] TMENUITEM.wrapItemAndSub and {field:xxx}

Hi,

How do I access the data of the current (menu)page in 
TMENUITEM.wrapItemAndSub? Unfortunately {field:xxx} does not work. Is there 
any other way to do this?

I also tried with TMENUITEM.after.insertData, but this is inserted after the 
current link and before the submenu.
