All files have an info icon (if you enable the extended view). Clicking on 
it also reveals in what records the file is used.
Also, the last column of the file list shows the number of references to the 
file. Clicking on it also shows the reference details (same as the info 
icon).

You can find a list of unused files in DB Check > Database relations.
