Hi Lieuwe,

A (possibly ugly) hack would be to just refer all machines to your local mirror 
when they request git.typo3.org by adding a line to /etc/hosts
Of course they can no longer access other repositories on git.typo3.org than 
those you've mirrored.

I'd be interested to hear if any of the 'git submodule sync' stuff is getting 
you any further.
