Agree. From any point of view, i don't see no problems with that. In 
most cases, an update from version 4.2.x up to 4.5 should be manageable 
(well, in some cases you have to remap when using TemplaVoilà and stuff 
like that, so a backup should always be a good idea). Normally, updating 
early even prevents 4.2-installations to even exist in the web. ;-)
