So this is proving the "will slow down the system and kill performance"
argument wrong.
In fact it will increase the "overall working performance" (which is not
just about code execution times) because extension developers won't have to
take care about providing handmade sprites to change just one icon.
And if one doesn't want sprite generation, what about having a default
handmade sprite and a switch to disable automatic generation?
<irony>If people can work with TV without complaining about performance
problems, the surely will accept sprites generated once a day or so</irony>
