I still believe that V5 is the major goal of this mission statement.

I see that this leads to nothing, since you don't seem to get the point
here:
If someone didn't pay *anthing* yet, then of course this one didn't pay for
V5 as well.

This is what you believe? - IMHO users would have made a fork of V4 which
would still be alive.
But it doesn't matter anyway, because this is pure speculation.

Well, V5 *wants* to build on it but currently they *are* completely
different. FLOW3 is a framework which is based on a completely new code
base, there is no CMS yet and you wouldn't be able to use a single V4
extension anymore, when V5 came out today. I guess the name "Phoenix" was
given intentionally, which means: Burn down the whole thing and rebuild
something new out of it's ashes. So to many people it seems like a
completely different product, that is just backed up by the same association
and shares the manpower of only a few V4 people.

And I guess this is the major problem V5 will have to face, because
currently it can't really build upon the reputation and credits of V4 but
upon the reputation and credits of the V5 team members only. But this is
another story.

Of course there must be communication! What I meant is: There is a
difference between just communicating and making demands. If you want to
make demands you have to meet the criteria I mentioned, but of course
everybody can discuss V5 development.

Me too - CU there
