[TYPO3-dev] Do bugfixes to trunk, rev 5591 apply to 4.2.9 or a later Version of Typo3?

Check this put:

If core says 'Committed to trunk (in a V4 context) then that means it  
was added to the latest version of typo3,
and since 4.3 is currently under development in trunk, it was only  
added to 4.3 (as of today).

Else a core guy would also mention it was added to a lower version  
(4.2, 4.1.....)

So, in short,
issue 9984 was only committed to trunk (4.3 as of today)

the reason is because this item is a feature and new features are not  
introduced to current stable releases, only bug fixes.

So the line 4.2.0-4.2.9 will only contain bug and security fixes.

Of course if you are brave and understand the consequences, you can  
grab that patch and apply it to 4.2, and see if it applies clean...
