[TYPO3-dev] Database compare in 4.2.10 install tool broken?

Hi Jigal and others,

Our server is running Debian Etch with PHP 5.2.0, and I still have this problem, 
so it's not just a matter of PHP versions.

magic_quotes_gpc is switched off, but I can't switch it on through htaccess, so 
I haven't been able yet to check whether this has anything to do with it.
