Xavier,
i could successfully login using a site that runs under PostgreSQL.
- Created a page - works
- Created content in a page - works
- Clicking on the task center gives me : Could not parse where clause
in /Users/rvt/Sites/Core/trunk/typo3/sysext/dbal/
class.ux_t3lib_db.php : 1007
Where clause in question : (public>0 || user_uid=1)
I remember I had problems with that where clause (MySQL oddity)
- Database compare currently gives incorrect results because it
'assumes' MySQL example:
-- Not problematic errors are:
ALTER TABLE cache_hash ENGINE=InnoDB;
Current value: ENGINE=
-- More serious problems:
ALTER TABLE be_groups CHANGE title title varchar(50) default '';
Current value: varchar(50) default '\'\'::character varying'
- Potential problems with LIKE
under MySQL I believe the comparison is case in-sensitive, however
under PostgreSQL
this is case sensitive. To make both systems work the same LIKE
needs to get changed to ILIKE for PostgreSQL.
With oracle you can set this in a session see http://www.orafaq.com/node/91
I don't know about DB2.
Note: upcoming PostgreSQL 8.4 will have the CITEXT type, for backports
take a look here : https://svn.kineticode.com/citext/trunk/README.citext
That means for the AdoDB installed all TEXT types need to get changed
to CITEXT, but the user does HAVE to have the CITEXT type
installed or have 8.4
Example : In the extension manager this search Realurl results in a
list, while in the PostgreSQL version it doesn't result in any.
- After the extension manager update I do get :
Warning: pg_query() [function.pg-query]: Query failed: ERROR: value
too long for type character varying(100) in /Users/rvt/Sites/Core/
trunk/typo3/sysext/adodb/adodb/drivers/adodb-postgres7.inc.php on line
115
So far...
Ries
