I think that some characters like accents in names and maybe a few
Danish comments were in iso-8859-1. Also many developers had still
troubles setting up their editors to read and write utf-8 properly.

I'm fine with changing all files to utf-8. Although I'm not sure what my
editors will do with the iso-8859-1 remnants in the code.
