i'm astonished when checking this in 4_2, and it's broken also. As noone 
reported since now, is versioning used such less?

I think versioning at all is one of the USPs of TYPO3 and should work as 
expected (sure) and should be presented in some documentations on t3org 
like "How to use versioning with your website - practice report"
