[TYPO3-dev] TYPO3 4.2 Alpha3: Pagetree filter

Hi Ben,

as you already noticed, the searchfield at the moment is more like a 
filter which is why the magnifying glass icon is irritating.

This is why the following idea exists and was discussed by Benni and me:

The search field should have two (or more?) modes:

* there's the search mode indicated by the magnifying glass which 
_searches_ through _all_ pages, including thos not visible because 
collapsed. The results are shown by reducing the tree to the matching 
pages including the rootline branches leading to them.

* second mode (the current one) is a filter mode indicated by a funnel 
which just _filters_ the currently _visible_ pages and shows results 
like it is now by graying out the non matching pages.

How does that sound? Anyone willing to code this during the next two 
weeks and earn some fame and honor?
