[TYPO3-dev] subMenu function in tslib_menu how should this work ?

Hi list,

Im currently using HMENU and special.userFunc to display a special menu.
My userFunc fills menuArr but I can understand how in subMenu function this 
informations are kept because $submenu->parentMenuArr = $this->menuArr; 
should do this but latter when calling $submenu->start($this->tmpl, 
$this->sys_page, $uid, $this->conf, $this->menuNumber+1, $objSuffix) the 
datas are override ...
