A short summary of what I plan: A rather modularized architecture with
the possibility to use different modules for everything, e.g. for
sending data from the draft to the live server (here it could be http,
ftp, rsync, scp, ...). It will also be possible to change records while
publishing, e.g. change their title, move them to another parent (if
their original parent is not going to be published), consistency checks,
atomic syncs (like with subversion commits/checkouts) and some more things.

If you or anyone else has any wishes for such a tool, just post them
here. I didn't think of publishing the idea right now, but your remark
changed my mind ;)
