[TYPO3-dev] Use of language labels in custom classes

Hi there,

I have written an extension which makes use of "gabriel" as scheduler 
which works very fine.
All the stuff to be scheduled is in its own classfile though and I 
wonder how I could use a TYPO3 "loccallang.xml" file to store and 
retrieve data.
Is there a function I can tell which label to retrieve from a given file 
in a given language? (I need to specify language and file, since the 
language does not depend on the backend user)
