Do you have mysql query cache enabled? How much memory do you use for
caching?
As you cant't measure any differences it may be the way that you have a
relatively small Typo3 site and a large query cache. In this case most
querys would come from cache and be delivered in virtually no time.
In situations like this your Typo3 site would not really benefit from
indexes.
