This is the wrong list for such questions, the problem you describe
comes from tt_news (thus the newsgroup typo3.projects.tt-news would be
better) and you are not using 4.0RC1, so your bugreport is not relevant
for core development.

Just a hint: Go to the install tool->database analyser->COMPARE to find
out if the DB structure is wrong.
