Very nice idea concerning a user func in this place! I already submitted 
a feature request quite similar to this one. But it was more to find a 
syntax that TCE reads the label of a field of another table.

So ... a userfunc would finally do the same. Anyways, me too I would 
really like to see this feature in 4.5!
