It has been there since many years. 4.0 just contains an extended version of
the query generator that allows you to combine conditions, consider types
as set in $TCA, etc.

The feature is only available for admin users, but I expect job_advbesearch
will remain as a wrapper that offers this functionality for all users.

If you still don't want to use this extension, you should have a look at the
extension "sys_action". Create an action on PID 0, open the full search,
and assign the query to this action. This will enable all users to view the
output of this query! Pretty cool (and pretty hidden ;-))
