Yes, that would be ideal. But when new technologies are comming up on
the horizont it is usually to early to make this ultimative decisions,
because experiences need to be collected before by a broader base of
developers. That is the realm of extensions. Some competition is of
advantage in the beginning to compare different solutions. Before they
were counted to the core DAM and HTMLarea have been regular extensions.
